Misfire when engine at running temperature

2001 freelander, 2 litre turbo diesel rover engine, intermitant mis fire only when engine is at running temperature, doesnt black or blue smoke when fault occurs. Did have a fault with electric fuel pump a while ago, causing it not to start though, somehow rectified its self though, fault not occured since
