My Jeep has just developed problems starting and I was told by a couple of mechanics that is probably the fuel pump. So instead of paying hundreds of dollars to have it changed, I want to try the fuel filter first ($30.00). So how do I disconnect the the fuel lines on the fuel filter?
I got the instructions for steps on changing it but not the hose fittings.

Thank you!

You will have one of three types. One is a simple bolt on, one is a push type plastic connector. Push in and squeeze the fitting and then pull out. THe third is a type that pushes on to the filter and has a horseshoe type clip that needs rempoved. Remove the clip and it will come off. NOTE: It may be under pressure, so release the pressure from the system before working on it.
