Has started smoking when I first start it

Has started smoking when I first start it. It has an oil smell not anti-freeze. Is there anything it could be besides rings? Burns about 1 to 1.5 quarts per oil change. It has the 5.7 L V-8

COULD BE THE VALVE STEM SEALS. OLD, HARD, SOMETIMES CRUMBING

I USE THIS ONE---EVERY OIL CHANGE, INSTEAD OF 1 QUART OF OIL, I SUBSTITUTE THIS I I REBUILT MY ENGINE IN MY 1977 CJ 5. IN 1995

I LET EVERYTHING "BREAK IN" AND PERFORMED 4 OIL CHANGES WITH MY REGULAR OIL---THEN I ADDED LUCAS EVERY TIME THEREAFTER.I DO THIS ON ALL OF 'EM AT MY HOUSE!

I DRIVE HIM EVERY DAY. SURE IT COSTS A LITTLE MORE. MY VACUUM AT IDLE IS 21 Hg
