Speedometer and petrol gage aren't working. will it be a be job and expensive to get it fixed?

we dont' have info for this car so this is a generic answer. it wold have to be scanned for codes to see if any sensors for speedo are bad then check to see if power is going to tank for gas gauge. if power going there it may be a dash problem whic can be rebuilt but have to be removed.
