Hello I have a 2001 chevy silverado and who ever had it before me tied the heater hose that goes into the cab and the other one that leaves from the cab together to fix the ac well that didn't. I took it in and had it looked at and the metal hose that holds the freon is busted. But I was wondering if I were to put those hoses back on if it would fix my heat because right now I don't have heat and I looked at those hoses this morning and it does get warm but there's coolant running through it. Is there a way I can fix it?

As long as the clips are there you can hook it up but watch for a heater core leak. If the lips aren't there you'll have to use clamps. From youru description the truck sounds as if it's had either one of two things, a guy that knows how to fix everything or the a/c and heater core leaked so he disconnected the hoses. If the a/c hose is leaking you'll have to fix that, evacuate and recharge the system as well as replacing the drier.
