Loose or worn front end parts. Have the steering and suspension systems inspected at a tire and alignment shop. Depending on which suspension system you have, GM has always had a problem with sloppy idler arms since the '70s. Many trucks use steering dampers which are similar to a shock absorber. If the oil leaks out of them they can cause a shaking steering system, especially after hitting a bump in the road.
