Speedometer reading wrong speed

What is causing my speedometer to read wrong? Give some tips on what to check and look for. Thank you

Inspect and test the vehicle speed sensor which is down by the transmission near the passengers side CV axle. Check out the diagrams (Below). Please let us know what you find.
