I have a 2000 Pontiac Sunfire 2.2 engine. I have changed the Tstat and the waterpump and it seems that there isn't any water circulating through the radiator. Not overheating, running at about 195. Hot enough to make tranny slip and engine shuts down while driving. It will start right back up and run for about 5 minutes then shut down again. No slip or shut down when cold. I have tried to bleed the air out, not sure but I think I did it right. What could it could be?

As long as engine warmed up by temp gauge and you let it cool down and checked surge tank to fill line you are ok. No need to bleed air. Scan for codes and check fuel pressure with a gauge for other problem however. Auto parts rent gauge. Should be 52-58 key on only

The fan never comes on at all when it gets hot. Still no heat. I don't think the water is getting through to to cool the tranny.

The tranny sends fluid through lines in the radiator. Check your cooling fan fuse and relay under hood then have engine pressure checked for an internal leak. Just check to see if your top hose get s hot after you start it. If it does then it's circulating.
