The metal Evap system purge line on my 2000 Sunfire has rusted through. I'm planning to replace with a single neoprene rubber fuel line from the purge solenoid at the front of the engine back to the charcoal canister at the back, roughly following the route of the old nylon/steel line. Hose will be well fastened in place and will run within about a foot of the exhaust. Does my plan sound ok?

Thanks saturntech9. I'm only expecting to keep the car a couple more years so it doesn't have to last too long.
