The frame rail (front passenger side) has rusted thru and as a result caused the steering wheel to shaking. Can this be fixed and if so, who does this type of work eg. Bodyshop? OR should I just scrapyard the car.

I posted this question. It should read 200,000KM, which is 124,274 Miles.

Wow! The vehicle has a high retail value, so I wouldn't want to scrap it. There are people that can repair frames; however, it depends on how and where the frame is rusted. Is it possible for you to send a picture to me so I can see the problem? If not, I would start at a body shop. Also, check out KBB. COM to see the vehicle's value before just junking it. Chances are you could still sell it but you will need to disclose the issues with the frame.

Let me know if you have questions. I have to be honest, if it was mine, I would fix it. The price of used vehicles are through the roof thanks to cash for clunkers.

Let me know what you decide.

Joe
