From first gear to second gear, it tales 2500 rpm to shift of my automatic transmission (starex). What could be the problem?

Gear shifting is dependent on throttle position and vehicle speed and I don't see any problem with that. If you press hard on the accelerator, it can go to 4000 rpm before it upshifts.
