Should an insurance company check the engine, rad and alinement after an accident? The vehicle was in almost identical accident almost 2 years prior. In that accident, The rad had leaked and caused the engine to seize and then it needed to be repaired. In addition the tires are constantly wearing out in short notice. Do they legally have an obligation to check these things out. If not what can I do to get them to do it. They are threating to cancel the rental car if we do not approve the work, "without" checking these things out.
Note I just put brand complete new brakes all around and new used tires and tune up on engine. Just 10-17 days before the accident "respectively". The tires, that was 30 days before.

I'm not sure how you know the tires are wearing before you even get your car back unless the problem was there before the accident. If that is the case, the insurance company is not responsible. Radiator damage is very obvious so they would know if it needed attention or not. They also know if the accident caused any impact to any of the wheels so they would know if the alignment should be checked or not.

The Question was. Should the Company check the engine and such after an accident? With more than just a visual check. Or in other words are the obligated to do so and if not why not. Experience tells me that in a similar scenario my Family and I were stranded on a major Highway because hours after picking up our car from the body shop without full care, gave this result.
