I have a 2000 ford focus. The check engine light keeps coming on. The code reads P071 (System Too Lean). I have replaced both O2 sensors, cleaned the MAF sensor and replaced the fuel filter. My wife complained that there was loss of power and poor gas mileage. Once I replaced the fuel filter she says the power is back but have not had enough time to assess the gas mileage. What should I do next to get this fault to go away?

Did you clear the code after your repair(s)?

Maybe it's already gone, you just don't know it.

Vacuum leaks can also make the engine burn leaner.
