I have a 2000 Dodge Dakota 5.9rt and I took out the ac system im trying too bypass the ac compressor withe a new serpentine belt because now the belt is smaller I even went too the dodge dealer ship and they still cant get me the right belt.

The belt the dealer gives me is about a 1"1/2 before it even gets on the self adjusting puley I looked too see if mabe other puleys could be reajusted or mabe smaler puleys but acording too the dealership nothing is supose too change just a smaler serpentine belt please help thank you

What motor? So they say you dont need change anything but belt? That dont sound normal to me. Usually completely diff pulley system or dummy pulley is required.

That is correct. All you need is a belt for an engine without A/C.
