I have had this issue for awhile now. According to the a code reader my 3rd cylinder is mis-firing.

I have tried running injector cleaner through a number of tanks of gas, I have changed plugs, wires, and the thing the plugs are plugged into(ignition coil perhaps?)

Anyway none of this had done anything. I thought maybe fuel pump or fuel filter but if it were those issues then wouldnt all cylinders be effected?

So im kinda stumped on what to do next, any suggestions would be great!

Are you getting a good spark to #3? Have you checked to make sure the injector is getting power and working? Have you checked engine compression in that cylinder?

As far as the fuel pressure, you would have a multi cylinder misfire.

Let me know about the questions.

I have a 99' Cirrus and it was doing the same thing! I was told it was a Postion Sensor located inside the distributor and only way to replace it was to replace entire distributor. Im also having electrical issues like the doors open sensor not working correctly, interior lights staying on, automatic door locks going off continuously, just weird stuff. Are thry related or seperate issues needing to be addressed?
