Overnight all the power steering fluid was gone no signs of any leaking anywere, refilled power steering fluid still hard to steer. what could be wrong, friend said maybe froze or something due to lastnight being one of the coldest weve had in along time -25 windshield

There is a leak somewhere. the fluid didn't just disappear. You need to find out where it went. If ther rack seals are leaking, it could be collecting inside the bellows boots.
