One possible suspect is the pickup screen in the fuel tank is collapsing. The clue is the engine starves for fuel after about ten miles, then, after sitting for a few minutes, the screen stretches out allows fuel to flow again for another five or ten minutes.
The best way to approach this is to connect a scanner with a "record" feature. A button is pressed, when the problem occurs, to record about five seconds of sensor data. Later, the mechanic can replay the events slowly to see what changed. That will give him an idea of where to start looking.
