It is more that like getting triggered by an issue with the seat belt harness.
This can also happened for a loose connection of the harness that is for the seat belt warning light.
You can access the wiring for the light by removing the b pillar inner trim.
After removing that trim you will see two connectors going into the seat belt harness. One is yellow and other is white. The yellow one is for the airbag and the white one is for seat belt light. The connector for the white wire has a tendency to come loose or move slightly in the socket, thus triggering the light.
All you have to do is secure the wire so it does not have an extra play.
