I own a 1999 camry with 195k miles.I went up on a hill and back down 15 seconds later. I came to a stop to a red light, my car began to loose power and shut off. I cranked it back up an drove approx. 1000 ft into mcdonalds parking lot, I was in the drive thru and all of a sudden my car shut off again. I cranked it up back up went home and waited for the engine to cool down. I did a oil change myself at home I drained the oil and replaced with new high mileage 10w-30 oil, I put 5 quarts of oil, and replaced the old oil filter with a synthetic oil filter. After all was done I had went to crank the are to only to hear a huge ticking noise or (knock noise) which sounded like it was coming from the cataylic converter next to cylinders in the engine shortly after my camry started overheating and cracked the coolant reserve, I could also smell a hint of gas. Can someone please help me I hope it's an easy fix!
