I thought the car cranked over. The codes can be pulled with just the battery, having enough power to crank the motor over, having enough power and then turn the key into on position.
The fuel pressure can be checked without running it as well. The fuel pump runs for two seconds after the key is turned to the, "ON" or "RUN" position. This primes the system to start the car and should be in the specific range as stated by manufacturer.
If it started and cut off then I do not think there was a connecter connected to the wrong connection as this is usually eliminated by the shape of the connectors in the genral area and you would look at the colors of the wires to make sure you have the right connector.
Which sensors do you think sre the possible issue?
Is there another sensor that the connector could possibly be swuitched with without the wiring harness being moved around and looking like it is not routed correclty or the connectrs are the same in the same area? Are tehy one or two wire sensors?
I am giving you the wiring diagrams for the engine harness, there are 4 of them and you can lay them out to make one big pic starting left to right. Note they are labeled, 1of4, 2of4, and so on. Starting with number one on the left line up the wires on the right side of page to number two wires on left side of page and so on. You will have entire wywtem with all snesors. This will help you figure out if the sensors are wired up right as they have descirption of enach sensor.
