1999 Mercedes Benz SLK230 A/C Blower malfunction

I own a 1999 slk 230 and the blower does not work properly. I have taken it apart, cleaned it, reassembled it, and tested it with a voltmeter. Everything appears to be be fine. The motor even turns on when I use the voltmeter on the blower when the car is on, but once I shut off the car and turn it back on it fails to start up again.

It sounds to me as though you have worn brushes in the motor. If you smack the motor with it turned on does it work or even attempt to? If not check for power and ground at the plug with the car running and the motor unplugged. You need both ground and power. If you have them then your motor needs to be replaced
