I know my rear axle seals are leaking and keep an eye on the gear oil level which I know was driven on little fluid by previous owner. It makes a bit of a churning noise, also when I come to a stop at times I can feel a type of almost clunk but don't really make noise can just feel it. It feels like play in the rear end and wondering if that could be the problem and what could be a fix to the problem. Thank you for your time.

The axle seal leakage could be contaminating the brake shoes/pads which would cause the problem you describe. Check out his article on how to repair it, its not the same vehicle but the idea is the same.
