I have a 1999 windstar 3.8 the ABS light will come on some times, lately when I apply the brake they make a fast ticking sound and the pedal gets a bit hard and I feel it pushing back on my foot this does not happens every time I brake, also today going to work The ABS light was off but when drove over the railroad track it came on.

It sounds like the ABS is actuating. Since the light came on when you hit a bump, I feel there is a bad connection to an ABS sensor. Check them at each wheel. If you can, when the light is on, have the computer scanned for codes. That way you will know which sensor the problem is coming from.
