Was told that my donut gaskets need to be replaced and the exhaust is really loud on the passenger side of the exhaust manifold that is bolted to the engine. So my question is do I need both the donut gaskets and the flange gaskets to do the repairs?

Just to add to HMAC's answer, these Mustangs are very notorious for breaking the exhaust pipe right below the flange also so don't be surprised if you find a little more than just the gasket when you look at it closer.

Had to change the rear end on my 03 3.8 and had an exhaust leak, pulled entire system out from flange to tailpipe and discovered some idiot welded the pipe where it entered the exhaust pipe but missed the crack completely lol who does that? My problem is the donuts are dealer only? Wth. Thinking of going with a universal donuts to stop the ticking

Looks to me like there are no doughnuts, Looking at the pic up top, looks as though its a taper/ flange kinda fit.

The fix would be to tighten the bolts/ nuts evenly to close the gap. Unless there is a crack in the pipe as mentioned above.
