Where is the TCM located

I was wondering where the transmission control module on my 1999 durango with 4 wheel drive

This vehicle has what is called an NGC controller. That means the PCM has multiple functions, and this includes the TCM.

So, if you have codes for the TCM then that is the transmission side of the PCM. It is kind of like multiple modules built into one.

Here is a guide that will help with reading codes because I suspect you are getting a TCM specific code:

If you are then you test the PCM when it mentions TCM.
