The rear axle is whining, what causes this?

When driving the rear end is whining.Really not sure how to explain it.

First, make sure the differential is full. If it is, it could be a carrier bearing, axle bearing, pinion bearing... If the noise changes when you turn, most likely it is an axle bearing. Let me know if you have other questions.
