My 1999 Malibu runs rough after I go through the car wash and if I drive through deep snow, how come? I checked the plugs and wires and they are fine. Check engine light is flashing and after the car wash, there was an awful smell. After letting my vehicle sit for an hour, it runs fine.

Exactly how did you determine that the plugs and wires were "fine"?

No need to answer in all caps. You could have stated that in your question.

The first step is to have the codes read which will tell you which cylinders are having the problem and from there you will have to determine if it's spark or fuel that it is lacking or even possibly too much fuel in specific cylinders.
