My car battery goes dead when it is wet outside, otherwise it is fine. What might cause this?

Today it was raining/snowing and I went out after my car was sitting overnight and the car started...I drove to the store, about 10 minutes, shopped and the car battery was dead. After a jump start I let the car run for a while, went home (about 20 minutes running) turned off the car and it would not start again..any ideas?

Start by measuring the battery voltage with the engine off and with it running. All you need is an inexpensive digital voltmeter. Harbor Freight Tools has them for $5.99 and often on sale for $2.99. Holler back with those numbers to at least one decimal point.
