1999 Chevrolet Blazer Fuse Block

I am replacing my under the hood fuse block because I hit a deer and melted the headlamp relay so I spliced wires into the headlights and directly into the fuse block to have lights work at least. But now when I get the new fuse block in everything is fine until I hook up the negative battery terminal the starter tries to turn over why? Also this does not happen with the old fuse block only the new ones. I have tried 2 new fuse blocks now. Please help me.

Are you getting the same exact fuse block? It sounds like the starter relay is being constantly energized. Are you using the same starter relay in every box? Focus on the starter relay and relay wiring.

I'm pretty sure they are the same. I mean the First one I got came out of 2000 Trailblazer this last one came from a 2000 Gmc Jimmy but I'm pretty sure they all have the 4.3L correct? Also I have removed the starter relay from the old fuse block and put it in the new one and as soon as I either connect the battery terminal or the starter relay it does the same thing as trying to push the starter

But it starts and runs normally with the old fox box in place? Is that right?

There must be some type of internal difference in the fuse boxes.
