I replaced the fuel filter and put a hole in front of the catalytic converter. My van started and drove 5 blocks, then stalled at a red light and never restarted. I had to tow it home. It had 25 lbs. Of fuel pressure and 1/4 tank of gas. I have spark from the coil. I feel it is a fuel delivery problem. The engine didn't run long enough to get "hot". What do I do next? I'm low on cash and could use the van next week.

thanks,
Mike Farrell

You will have to see if you have fuel pressure at the fuel rail, how did you get a hole in the cat?

25 lbs. Of fuel pressure at the schraeder valve on the fuel rail. I put a hole in the cat to make sure I had enough exhaust flow. I need to replace it anyway. Checked fuel pressure again. It's 0 now. I must need a new Fuel pump.

If no fuel pressure check that you have power at the pump first.
