How to get the size 40 Torx screw out when changing heater hoses? I Tried every tool I could find at Auto Zone could not reach it or it would not fit in between the AC lines and the firewall. So it took a long armed skinny lady to put a screwdriver size 40 torx bit sideways about half way down the bit so that just like a 1/4 inch of bit was sticking out of vice grips clamped down on it. Really tight it would barely fit and reach, but we did it could only turn it like a 1/4 of a inch at a time. So it took several tries to break it loose then several minutes of turning and reentering the screw to get it out and it took her long skinny arms to reach the hoses at the heater core. Also, if I had had one of those hose clamp releasing tools like in the video on YouTube it would have been a lot easier

Welcome to the wonderful world of auto repair. There are a lot of special tools for issues like that. In that case a 1/4" hex ratchet driver like the ones in the pictures used to drive the bit. It's one of the reasons why I have thousands of dollars in special tools just for those times.
