99 Cadillac el dorado 4.6 northstar do i need to sync the crank

I replaced on of the crank sensers the lower one.Does this thing require doing something called syncing the sensers? I guess if you replace one or both im hearing that you have to but not getting a defant. Does crank seners on this thing need to be synced after replacement?
