Hi,

My car was rear ended and the body shop repaired my rear bumper, reinf beam, upper beam, trunk lid, rt and lt quarter panels. The shop removed my battery during this repair because my radio coded and I had to type in the code.

However, the shop forgot to connect the battery with the cables and 3 months later my battery (which had been only 5 months old died. I am trying to get reimbursed by the shop for forgetting to connect my battery back after removing, but why did they need to take it out in the first place? Why remove a battery for body damage?

Thank you so much!

How do you know they remove the battery? Are you assuming are presuming they remove the battery because "my radio coded and I had to type in the code"? It sounds like he had some extensive work performed on the vehicle, how long did that take? One month? Two months? How do you not know that the battery went dead in the repair shop? Maybe they had the doors open? How do you know that the accident did not knock the cables loose? And how could you be driving the vehicle if "the shop forgot to connect the battery with the cables"? I don't know I'm confused
