1998 Mercury Other fix

I just broke the housing that the thermostat housing boits to no my 1998 mercury villager is this fixabie

Nope. You gotta buy a new van!

Actually, on Ford products it's usually the thermostat housing that breaks. One of the mounting ears will crack if there's any remaining gasket material or other debris stuck under it when you tighten the bolts. Usually that housing is bolted to the intake manifold. I don't think I've ever seen one of those break. What exactly has happened? Is it just a bolt hole that's stripped or did a part of the assembly crack off?

Part of what? The cover that the radiator hose connects to, the thermostat, or the assembly the thermostat drops into and the cover bolts to?
