I have a 1998 grand marquis V8 4.6L Engine. I just recently had my engine, alternator, battery, power steering pump/pulley, and intake manifold replaced. When I turn my steering wheel slightly the pulleys stop rotating and my battery light comes on, however when I turn the wheel completely the pulleys will move with the motion of turning and the battery light comes on. Any idea whats wrong?

You're belt is slipping and you need to determine why.

Of course. The belt drives the pump.
