I dont know what each botton means on my keypad

My keypad is in roman numeral numbers. 1,2,3,4. I dont know what each one means. ANd when I bought my car at a used car lot the sales person didnt know neither. All he knew was that there was a atomatic start if hold down I beleive 1&2. HELP!!!!!!!!!

There are many different designs and different alarm system manufacturer has different configurations.

Try pressing each button by itslef to see what happens. Some buttons are for cosmetic reasons, actually they are ther but the function have not benn installed.

Arming and disarming could be different button. Another for the panic mode, silent mode or trunk opener.
