Airbag control module

I have a 98 lincoln town car. I was told by a mechanic I needed a new airbag control modele or crash sensor so they could run diagnostics. I ordered one online it looks the same but it has a different model # the last two letters are different will this be ok?

Control modules and sensors are sensitive components and has to be specific. It might turn the warning indicator lights off but their operating conditions might differ so it is recommended to have the exact match.
