Just purchased 98 jeep grand cherokee from friend. The car was involved in collision. Air bags deployed. Damage is contained to front end. Hood and and drivers fender needs to be replaced. However, the frame piece that goes just below radiator is mangled. How do I replace? Cut out? Where do I find a replacement, etc, radiator was damaged but did not get into engine block. Please help with advice. Thanks.

If I am correct, you are refering to the lower section of the radiator support. You can purchase a new rad support, but it is a lot of work to replace. Everything needs removed (fenders, lights, rad, all components bolted to it. At that point, the top of the support (top of the rad area) is welded in place and the bottom is bolted to the frame with large rubber bushings between the two. Truly, it is a lot of work, but it can be done.
