I have a 1998 Honda Odyssey Automatic. Currently the car is having erratic shifting. At speeds roughly 20 KPH and every 20 KPH afterwards up to 100 KPH, the car disengages taking my foot of the gas the RPM's come down the car shifts and then continues to accelerate. Do I need a new Transmission or will a rebuild kit work to resolve this problem. The car has 51,000 miles.

Get a scan done to see if there are any trouble codes. That is the starting point. Without understanding the actual fault, it is not possible to comment on the repairs and rectification method.
