I had hit a mailbox with the front end of my car. The damage that occored was the fans, radiator, and condenser were forced and pushed up against the motor of the car. That seemed to be all the damage that there was.The car still started and was able to drive it home a short distance from the accident without it running hot. We managed to pull all that out and planed on just replacing the radiator and fans and buy a new condenser in the near future. I don't know it the next part does any damage to the car but my husband backed the car up just a bit while everything was disconnected (radiator, and fans) and put it back in parck and decided to rev up the car some. When he did we noticed as he reved it up the motor started to lift up a lot. Almost as if it was about to fly out of the car. I just a wanted to know what is causing the motor to do this? HE said the accident might have knocked it off the tentions?(note: we still have yet to buy bee radiator and fans) Another issue is when you change the gears on the car it has a little jump/knock to it. It does it the first couple of times you change the gears and after that it stops( it did this before the accident ever occurred) if you could please help because we can't afford a new car and therefore we need to fix this one. Im hoping to resolve the problem in less than a week and planed on going back to college in time. Thank you in advanced.
