Key wont turn in ignition of my 98 Ford Explorer

I disconnected the battery to clean the posts and connectors put it back together and drove it 3x with no problem, got in to drive again and the key wont turn in the ignition. Tried messing with the steering wheel while trying to turn the key and checked fuses both attempts got me nowhere.

So the key isnt turning from the lock position sometimes?

Has it ever acted funny before? Did you try some oil in lockhole?

Dry graphite is the best thing to use to lube a lock up. Does the key look badly worn down?
