I have a 98 tahoe. It had a gear oil leak from the radiator gear cooler and the water went in the gear, I changed the oil 3 times. Then when my vehicle runs more than 30 miles, when it comes to a total stop and start driving again the gear slips from 1st to 2nd and remaining gears shift normally. Please could you advise me what has to be done. Thanks

The coolant that went into the transmission is causing the slipping. There may have been damage done you could try to have the transmission flushed with a machine.
