What are the relays for that are under the dashboard beside the steering column?

Controlling the signal to start the motor. I had to replace the cluster panel which went berzerk on me while driving home. After I replaced the panel, the truck would start but cut off immediately. Then it go so it would not start at all. The motor will turn over ok. I feel like the trouble is in a relay and all of them under the hood seems to be ok as it relays to starting the motor.

Do you have spark and fuel to the engine? CJ won't care that I added this to the post. He realizes his replies are questionable.
