What else could be causing the service light to stay on and my car to still idle rough?

My service light came on I had it scanned it said the Egr wasnt circulating right, It started cutting out really bad, changed the plugs and wires first, then changed the egr valve a week later it is still idling rough and the light came back on, and says the same thing

What is the EXACT trouble code you are getting?

Rough idling can be due to a few causes. If the idling speed is too low, it is usually due to a dirty thriottle body and IAC valve, retericting air flow.

Changing the EGR valve along usually don't work. You need to clean the EGR exhaust gas passages to rectify the problem.
