I recently tried to open my car's hood without any luck. I tried to get a screwdriver inside the grill, but, it looks like the latch is in an enclosure (which is a little bit odd.) Are there any diagrams showing this enclosure or the latch mechanism itself?

Thanks!

If the cable isn't broken that goes to the latch, try this. Have a helper pull on the release lever while you gently tap the front of the hood. Sounds funny but it usually works.

Let me know if that helps. As far as a diagram, I don't believe there ever was one for your application.

Thanks for the info! If the cable is broken, or your method doesn't work, how would you recommend opening the hood?

the only way I know if doing it is by removing the grill. We always send this type of a problem to the body shop.
