I need to know how to check my distibutor its out of the vech.

My # 5 pisto has a two inch hole in the side ofit around the two top rings

You had timing issues that caused the overheating. Engine will have to be rebuilt.

Check for play side to side in the center shaft. The reluctor should have 800-1600 ohms resistance.
