1997 Ford F-150 f-150 year differences

I was just wondering if there was any difference in a 1997 ford f150, and a 1999 ford f150 both with the Triton 5.4L. I was looking for differences specifically in the computer, because i was looking to buy a tuner for my 1997 f150, and i found one i want but it's for a 1999 f150.

the difference may be in the wiring mostly as stuff is replaced due to suppliers and it's routed differently

because most mechanics including myself don't deal with that stuff I can't give you a definitive answer. I'd call the tuner company that you are thinkin g of getting one from. I'm sure they would know.
