1997 Ford Aspire cars air bag light

The air bag light comes on and flashes a sequince of light. I have no way of knowing what it is saying. I believe it flashes twice and then pauses and flashes 3 times, and starts over, I may have the sequince wrong, but after that came on ive had a bunch of problems with the car. Now it wont pass smog and always did before, the check engine light goes on and sometimes it goes off and stays iff for awhile but comes back on.

Take the car to a nationally recognized parts store and have them scan the computer for trouble codes. That will tell you where the problem is coming from. Also, most places will do it for free.

Once you get the code, let me know what it is. Also, your best bet is to take it when the check engine light is on.
