It has been a good truck but about 4 months ago my engine light came on and I was told it was my number one and number 6 cylinder rings then today it died while I was going to the store I was barely doing 5 miles an hour and it will not crank like it's getting no fire, I don't know if it's my timing belt or if it is my fuel pump relay on my fuel pump I hear my injectors coming on what do you think?
Oh and I left out the part where it idles rough you have to press the gas really hard to get a lot of gas to get it to go at any speed shakes and vibrates hard while driving have to keep punching the gas pedal to make it level out at any speed then it will just start hard vibrating from motor again been doing it for 4 months repaced relay to fuel pump and oil water levels normal. I'm sure I did a lot of damage to a lot things but I'm wondering what I should start with, would jumped time cause all this?

Good morning,

Yes, jumped time would do this exact issue.

With 2 cylinders bad, it would be wise to consider replacing the engine. The cost of fixing your current engine would be more than replacing it with a good used one.

I attached the site with possible engines for sale. the site is www.car-part.com. They have pages of engines for you.

I would do a compression test. That will tell you if the chain has failed. You should have about 140 pounds of compression.

Thank you for taking time to read my post. But as far as I know the cylinders aren't bad it's just two burnt piston rings in cylinder 1 and cylinder 6 is it. At least what AutoZone told me but right after saying that they said that jumping time would make their machine say that it's a misfire but it may not be that it may just be a timing belt. So I don't know which way to go.

Okay, first, AutoZone sells parts. They are not technicians.

If you have bad rings, you have cylinder damage. As far as the chain failing, you have what is called interference engine which means when it comes out of time, you bend valves.

If they were technicians, they would have told you this.
