Truck has factory installed theft deterrent system. I left it in winter storage on a battery tender last November.. The truck was locked and I have no key fob. During the winter the headlights came on and a neighbor said it sounded as though the alarm was cycling on and off with no horn or lights flashing. He disconnected the battery & battery tender. When I returned in spring I charged the battery & it tested good. However, when you turn the key, the dash lights come on but it will not crank. It seems the security system is blocking the power from reaching the starter. I was told the computer has to be reset because the battery was disconnected for so long. Is there any way I can bypass the security system, (which I no longer need anyway), and get the truck started without having it towed to a shop?
